For children from birth to 3 years of age:

If not at risk, use a toothbrush moistened only with water.
For children from 3 to 6 years of age:
Use a pea-sized amount of fluoridated toothpaste
Always supervise brushing to ensure the correct amount is used, encourage spitting out toothpaste, and ensure thorough cleaning.
